Founding Partners John Piper - Finance/ IT John Piper spent 20 years, including 10 at board level, in the healthcare distribution sector - an 'FMCG' business, customer focussed, highly IT-dependent and a major provider of IT systems to retail and hospital pharmacy. At the interface between the business and its IT provider, he has improved business performance and customer service by delivery of cost-effective information systems. John worked with "top six" company Touche Ross, specialising in computer audit. Paul Roberts - Supply Chain/ Commercial Paul Roberts has 25 years' senior experience in Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Commercial Management, mainly in the manufacturing sector. After finance roles with two small companies, and consultancy with Touche Ross, he held a range of Director level roles in global FMCG company Kimberly-Clark. In addition to his consultancy work, he is now a tutor with the Open University Business School. Paul uses his in-depth commercial experience and analytical skills to help clients overcome obstacles to improved business performance - anywhere in the organisation. Bill Sanderson - Technology/ Strategy 26 years' experience in Chemicals R&D (Laporte plc and Solvay SA), covering both commodity and speciality sectors, and in senior technology management, involving collaboration with many other business functions: SBU management, marketing, production/ engineering and patents: also a former director of Nimtech North West, a technology transfer agency. Strong record in innovative/ creative projects. Experienced at improvement initiatives and planning, also in people and process issues related to quality and safety. Chartered Chemist, and member of RSC (UK) and ACS (USA). John Wallington - Human Resources John has spent over 30 years in a diverse range of blue chip companies, including GSK, Smith & Nephew and Whitbread. Although predominantly employed in the HR function, he has also held senior executive roles in the distribution, Customer Service and retail/ leisure sectors. John can work at all levels of an organisation and this has proved invaluable when managing major change programmes, particularly where there are significant employee relations issues. Ric Cowan - Marketing Ric Cowan has 26 years marketing and commercial experience in a range of manufacturing and retail industries; latterly with board appointments in marketing and buying at retail leisure group Greenalls as well as two spells in management consultancy, one with Ernst Young. Ric works with clients to enhance customer focus and to leverage customer understanding into business development opportunities. |
